How to Dismount Indoor Rollers (with style)

Worried about falling off rollers ? practicing getting off before you need to is a great drill and way to pass time indoor training as well. Make sure it benefits your outdoor riding by using techniques we would use indoors .

Remember your wall , credenza and Mom won’t be there to catch you outside ! (use your feet!)

Bike Skills Project- Episode 32 – CX Provincials Braking Observation

Final shots from 2012 Provincial Cyclocross Championships. It was cold so I failed on getting more !!!
In any case awesome watching the differences in the SOUNDS coming from brakes
Top guys don’t drag their brakes much IF AT ALL before barriers and run-ups/dismounts
If you are touching your brakes you are slowing down … think about it.

Bike Skills Project- Episode 31 – CX Provincials RunUp Observation

Another Look at Provincial Championships
How are riders Dismounting, carrying the bike, Remounting ?
What are the differences ?
Can we get closer to that without even ‘training’ ?
I saw a ton of brakes into the run up … why loose speed ?
Grabbing the top tube after you swing your leg over and before you jump off is likely a good technique (Watson the race winner does not do it but does do it very quickly after or even during) .
Play with it and keep your eyes open!!!
